WEDDING INSPIRATION IDEA. Pre-wedding photoshoot in Kuala Lumpur
Updated: Dec 9, 2020
Style Concept –“Flare Feelings”. The wedding concept aims to reveal the main role of the couple’s character, nature, soul and entity by creating an effortless atmosphere and incorporating intrinsic elements of their personal celebration. We were inspired at first place by an open-minded vision of wedding set up and strong merit of coupleship of Suzanne and Jun Yong who bravely looked into their internal blaze to become an outline for the wedding concept.
Concept inspired by the millennial obsessions with the modern aesthetic of personalization. These are the couples that love bright colours and settling for a scene that is cool and intimate.
Think out-of-the-box non-conventional wedding materials (textures, materials, type of stationaries, type of flowers, crockeries and design pieces) and experiential interaction.
Style elements find inspiration in modern art, music, celebrity and fashion trends particularly and align with the venue concept as a whole.
Saturated and unique colour combination French Pass hue and vibrant, warm light coral are grounded by French Grey, is drawn from the neon combination of purple, orange and ice blue but smoothen for the sunset time effect with only pops of bold orange and coral blooms.
This colour selection is showered in romance and living breakout in the hustle urban scene. Transparent materials for dinner set up a stand for purity of love and freethinking mind of couple.
WEDDING STYLE GUIDE
W Hotel in Kuala Lumpur
W Hotel is privileged to have one of the most sought after view in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and perfect for this wedding style.
As the location convenience, benefits for endless opportunities for creating an awesome experience as the hotel itself has interpreted the history and beauty of this city by integrating many aspects in the interior style which reflects trendy minimalism and a non-compromised glimpse of colours overlaid on a neutral background. Open space of WET Deck brings up the fell of spaciousness and embracing KL urban rhythm.
The entire space is decked in grey and pale blue colour anchored in shades of black and concrete greys, with the ceiling featuring a glass housetop.
We want to drive the imagination of couple to few different experiences – the evening of celebration, welcoming cocktails; and dinner and how it can escalate to a fun evening.
Our decent bride full of romance will contrast with highly modern space in the floor length “Lou” gown with an elegant train and beautiful embroidery on wrist cuffs and waistband when the groom is the adventurous ambitious strong man will be casually wearing a tailored shirt with suede pants and classic black Chelsea.
The beauty look will be complimenting both with a hint of 80’s coloured shadows and soft pink blush with hair loosely curled accessorised with a pop of orange bloom headpiece. These blooms will be assembled in rich coloured hand bouquet thoroughly formed and elegant.
Stylish design and meaningful entirety are in every stationary detail. Invitation suite set is seeing blend from pale blue to soft coral and creates living feel, customised coasters are just exuding personalised set up for wedding celebration and featuring gemstone design in main colours which symbolise the ability to fill ourselves with light and life. The complementing Cocktail menu is designed to regale “Her” and “Him” with the signature drinks.
The statement bar is an experiential station with special meaning for the couple this night as bartender offers an exclusive cocktail menu for couple tantalising their loyalty to a traditional British drink – sloe gin. This home-made recipe liqueur provide a berry base for mixologist fantasy. We treat couple with mix For Him “ Sloe-ly but Surely” with an infusion of Irish Whiskey, Palm Sugar and Citrus tones and For Her “Sloe and Steady” poured with Hendricks, Bluepea-infused osmanthus and fizz spiced with a citrus undertone. Specially crafted drinks are perfect way to tell something really unique about couple taste and set up interaction stage for mixologist “in action”.
THE DESIGN DETAILS
Design elements are blending into set up layering on further glass made tubes as individual flower vessel which gives more latitude to blooms in the centrepiece and emphasises each stem statement at the same time.
Napkins in tactile textures, completing the look by adding delicate rose-tinted glassware and silver cutlery. The addition of earthy tones dinnerware would be the only diluted by contrasting design of coasters. The main statement will be taken by suspended abandoned floral installation, giving contrasting, whimsical layer to this stylish setting.
Tailored made cake is moulding dulcet as love sherbet colours of fondant into clean shape square cake tires with concrete texture – a genuine breakout living energy in the urban reality.
We hope this has inspired some of you today!
